Katie serves as the Assistant Director for the Career Development Center and career coach to the College of Music and Media. She oversees all internships reported for academic credit. Katie joined Loyola's wolf pack in September 2016 where she worked with the School of Music Industry Studies and in 2017 assumed the role of Assistant Director of the Career Development Center. 

With over 9 years of higher education experience in admissions counseling, college recruiting, and career coaching, Katie is able to provide resources and promote career readiness to students. Her background in performing arts and arts administration equips her to support young artists here at Loyola. Katie is a certified practitioner of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and trained InsideTrack Success Coach. These assessments support the wholistic coaching approach that Katie provides to students.

Katie earned a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of South Alabama, where she concentrated in vocal performance, and holds a Master of Arts Administration degree from the University of New Orleans. After completing her master's degree, Katie worked at the nationally-ranked National World War II Museum in New Orleans, where she served as the Assistant Director of Entertainment. Additionally, she works with New Orleans Opera Association as a stage manager and serves as a freelance grant-writer to local theatre companies.
