Jill Boatright arrived at the Loyola University New Orleans Career Development Center in 2012 and currently serves as the Director for Career Development. She received both her B.A. in Sociology and Foreign Affairs and her M.Ed. in Higher Education from the University of Virginia. Currenty, she serves on the Board of Directors for the Southern Association of Colleges and Employers (SoACE) and is the Chair of the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities (AJCU) Career Leaders group. 

As Director, Jill provides leadership and direction to the Career Development Center with the mission to support Loyola's students in making informed decisions regarding undergraduate and post-graduate plans by providing resources and opportunities to encourage career exploration and self-assessment. She develops strategic relationships with local, regional, and national employers to increase internship and employment opportunities available to Loyola students and alumni. She oversees and coordinates on-campus recruiting events to facilitate opportunities for students and employers to connect. Jill works directly with employer partners to develop recruiting plans and identify the best ways to connect with Loyola students depending on their specific needs. Currently, she also serves as the career coach to all general studies, undecided students, and students considering changing their major. She is certified in various career assessments including the Strong Interest Inventory and Myers Briggs Type Indicator.

Prior to Loyola, Jill worked in various capacities in the career centers at the University of Virginia and Mercer University. During her tenure in career services, she has worked with students across all disciplines providing comprehensive guidance on all aspects of career development including career exploration and assessment, job and internship search, resume and cover letter development, interviewing strategies and techniques, networking for employment, and graduate and professional school application. Additionally, Jill has served as an adjunct instructor for senior-level courses focused on preparing students to successfully navigate the transition from college to the world of work.
