The Career Development Center has partnered with Loyola Law School and Loyola's Pre-Law Student Organization to bring you a week full of events to help you navigate your future. All students are welcome to learn more about law school admissions, the application process, and how to prepare for success. See the information below for detailed information!
MONDAY, OCTOBER 26th
3:00 PM-4:30 PM How Do I Get Into Law School? - Meet Professor Craig Senn from Loyola Law School to hear about the entire law school experience. You'll even get to exprience a mock class and talk through a case study! You don't want to miss this opening session.
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 27th
1:00 PM-2:00 PM Resume and Personal Statement Workshop - Join the Career Development Center team for a resume and personal statement workshop to make sure your application materials are top notch. Write a resume that will impress the law school admissions committee and create a personal statement that will ensure your application packet shines.
3:30 PM-6:30 PM Aspiring Law Student Expo- During this virtual event, meet multiple law school representatives, visit individual law school booths, attend admissions advice panels, and more! Register with this link to network with other aspiring law students and professionals interested in helping you succeed.
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 30th
12:00 PM- 1:30 PM Loyola Law School Group Tours - Grab a shuttle from campus and take a tour of campus and interact with Loyola faculty, staff, and students to learn more about Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. Tours a limited to groups of 4 so check out their differnet times and options to ensure a spot! Don’t miss this opportunity to ask any questions and see what might be in your future.
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 4th
1:00 PM - 2:00 PM Admissions Q&A with Loyola Law - Speak with the admissions committee from Loyola Law School to hear what they have to say about the admission and application process. They will hit every topic including when and how to apply, what you need for your application, and when you should take the LSAT.
2:00 PM - 3:00 PM Financing Your Legal Education - AccessLex is an educational and effective financial program created for law students. Hear from a representative AccessLex to learn about their resources and how to budget for law school.
THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 5th
1:00 PM - 2:00 PM Careers in Law - Did you know how many careers you can get with a JD outside of practicing law?! Hear from the Loyola Law School Career Center about the different paths you can take after law school and also find out what Loyola Law grads are up to now.
