Recruiting On-Campus

COVID-19 Updates

We recognize that COVID-19 has presented new challenges for employers. Virtual Recruiting may be new territory for your organization, but we are committed to adapting and enhancing our resources and services to meet your needs and hekp you connect with Loyola talent.
In compliance with our campus visitor policy, all Fall 2020 recruiting will occur virtually. We will continue to offer the same recruiting opportunities listed below, but all will be modified to accommodate a virtual format.
If you have questions or would like to plan a virtual Fall recruiting schedule, please contact Grace Kalka, our Recruitment & Employer Events Coordinator.

We hope you will join the rapidly growing list of employers and graduate programs that recognize the value of recruiting on-campus at Loyola University New Orleans.

Employers who have consistent visibility with Loyola students have more success recruiting our best and most qualified students. Create excitement about your organization's opportunities by getting in front of them often and with a clear message.  From participating in career workshops or information sessions to attendance at career fairs, we can help you connect with students and alumni to inform them about your organization and opportunities. Contact Jill Boatright, Director for Career Development, to design an effective recruitment plan that works for you.

Here are some of the ways you can develop a presence and recruit on campus:

Employer OF THE DAY Information Tables

Get in the middle of where students are. Arrange to have an information table in the high-traffic lane of the Danna Center during lunch time. Distribute information, make connections, and discuss details about your organization or business. Partner an information table with an information session, and watch your attendance grow.

Employer Information Sessions

Host an information session where you share information with students about your workplace and career opportunities. These sessions usually last an hour and include time to answer questions and talk informally with students.

On-Campus Interviewing

Knock out your interviews with Loyola students in just one or two days. We’ll organize an interview schedule on our campus for your selected candidates. This option also allows students to interview in between classes and not worry about transportation to your office. We take care of all the details; you just show up.

Career Fairs

Loyola University New Orleans coordinates several career fairs every academic year. Click here for more information about our typical yearly career fair schedule. For specfic information and to register for open career fairs, login to your Handshake account.

Coffee Chats

A coffee chat is an informal way for students to meet with company representatives to learn more about jobs, internships, and company culture. Coffee chats are most successful when scheduled in coordination with other recruiting events to ensure good student turn-out.

Partner with student Organizations

Partnering with student organizations can be an authentic and powerful strategy to promote your company's brand on-campus.  Many student organizations are happy to host employers for workshops or information sessions.  To see a full list of student organizations, click here.  Need help making the connection?  Reach out to the Career Development Center at career@loyno.edu or by phone at (504) 865-3860.

Advertise in the Maroon Student Newspaper

Our award-winning student newspaper, The Maroon, is a vehicle to reach large numbers of Loyola students. It's widely read by students, faculty, and staff. Spread the word about career opportunities with your organization or company through this reliable audience.

Participate in workshops or mock interviews

Allow students to practice their interviewing skills in a safe environment.  Offer students advice on appropriate answers to common interview questions, body language, professional attire, and other variabls that affect the success of interviewing.  The CDC plans a mock interview day each semester, and we need seasoned professionals to participate.  Additionally, we are always looking for professionals who are willing to be called by a student to schedule a practice interview throughout the year.
